2023 Concongella Blanc Tasting Note
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Pale intensity with a green gold hue.
Bouquet: Pronounced aromatics of pear, apple, honey blossom, apricot.
Palate: A full-bodied wine with pronounced flavour intensity of spiced pear, green apple, coupled with apricot and white stone fruit. The palate is well weighted, balanced, and finishes with good acid length.
Pairing: Delicious served with a pesto or cream-based pasta.
Cellaring: Best drunk in the short to medium term but will keep for 7-10 years.
Vintage: 2023 began with a very wet spring. Rain and cool temperatures were the theme up until Christmas. Into the new year, the rain ceased, and some warmer weather followed. This led to the old vines being the most fruitful in recent memory. The 2023 vintage was long and late, which aided the youthfulness of this wine.
