Book a Tasting experience
Experience the very best of the Grampians Wine region and join us in our cosy cellar door for a seated tasting, Best’s Wines has an experience to suit all palates! We offer an introduction to our Great Western Range as well as several premium options including our very special Icon Tasting Experience, under Coravin.
Plus we offer a guided underground cellar tour and special tasting on the first Saturday morning of the month.
Our Pick a Platter cheese boards are available 7 days a week and do not need to be booked in advance (view menu).
Cellar door bookings are essential over long weekends and busy holiday periods*. Booked guests will receive priority over walk in customers.
Best’s welcomes those travelling with their dogs, welcome outside our cellar door and on the lawns. But with limited table seating outside, please be sure to note this on your booking so we can reserve a table for you.
*A single tasting option is available during these times only, this tasting incorporates wines from across all our ranges. Reservations close 1 hour prior to your preferred booking time. Please call the cellar door for bookings less than 1 hour prior to your visit. Tasting fees are not redeemable on purchase.

Great Western Tasting
This tasting experience features wines from our Great Western varietals range. This tasting is $10 per person.

Premium Tasting
This tasting experience includes a selection of wines from both our Growers Series and premium Concongella Collection. This tasting experience is $15 per person.

Icon Tasting Experience
This tasting experience consists of three wines from our Icon Range, poured under Coravin and costs $80 per person. The tasting includes our flagship wine, the Thomson Family Shiraz. Our Thomson Family Shiraz was named in the First Classified, and Bin No. 0 Shiraz was included as Classified in the 8th edition of the Langton’s Classification. Wine Club members receive their club discount for this experience

Long Weekend Tasting
Over busy long weekends we create a tasting experience that features wines from across all our ranges so that our guests, really can, experience it all! Our $10 tasting brings together wines from our Great Western and Concongella ranges. Our $20 tasting gives us the opportunity to showcase the gems from the cellar alongside our current vintage Great Western and Concongella wines.
Start planning your Long weekend. We have two special Long Weekend tastings for $10 and $20 as well as local cheeses and produce available to select from our ‘ Pick a Platter’ menu to share with friends

Stables till 8
From Friday the 8th November, we’re staying up late!
Best’s Stables cellar door will stay open until 8pm on Friday nights throughout November, December and January.
Settle in with a glass of your favourite Best’s wine and enjoy a grazing platter with friends.

Guided Cellar Tour + Tasting

Discover our ‘Best Kept Secrets’ and join us on the first Saturday of each month for a guided tour of Best’s Wines historic underground cellar. The tour will start in our “Stables” cellar door, one of our friendly staff will guide you on the walk.
Hear about the Best’s family and their pioneering beginnings through to the 5th generation Thomson Family who have been custodians of the Concongella Estate since 1920.
After the tour, a tailored wine tasting awaits, where you can savour some of our wines from across a variety of ranges.
The Guided Tour & Tasting is $35 per person, Wine Club discounts apply for this experience.

Private Icon Tasting Experience
Best’s Wines offers a unique private Icon tasting experience inside our old concrete white wine maturation tank which was constructed in the 1870’s and now forms part of the historic underground cellar walk. This experience includes our Icon Tasting and a small cheese plate. Our private Icon experience has a maximum capacity of 6 people due to the size of the space.
