2022 Young Vine Pinot Meunier

TASTING NOTES

Colour: Medium red intensity with a ruby hue.
Bouquet: Pronounced bouquet of red cherry and cranberries, coupled with blood orange citrus and rose petal.
Palate: Intense crunchy red fruits of crushed strawberries and raspberries, underlined with orange peel and candy musk flavours. Soft chocolatey tannins that coat the mouth, and fresh acidity that leaves a long finish.
Cellaring: Good to drink in the short term but it should age well for 7-10 years.
Pairing: Try it with seared tuna.
Vintage: A cool season with near perfect growing conditions right through to harvest. Adequate winter and spring rainfalls set the wine up to burst into life and sustain beautifally, while balanced growth throughout the summer. Autumn was ideal with little rainfall and warm conditions to ensure the grapes matured gracefully.
