2019 Sparkling Shiraz

TASTING NOTES

Colour: Deep dark magenta with a glazed ruby hue. A rocky mousse fills the glass then subsides to reveal a lace of fine persistent bubbles.
Bouquet: Intense and lifted aromatics of aniseed, black pepper, cherry cola and plum. Complexing savoury notes of star anise, tanned leather and chacuterie through maturation in barrel and time on lees in bottle
Palate: Fresh and vibrant. Intense dark cherry fruit flavours, raisins, glazed fruitcake. The perfect accompaniment to celebrate Christmas 2022.
Pairing: Drink with cider glazed pork belly, enjoy with duck liver pate or for the sweet tooth indulge in a dark chocolate parfait!
Vintage: The vineyards set off to a great start in spring, but dry conditions prevailed throughout the remainder of the growing season.  Crop levels were modest, providing Shiraz fruit of regional spice, concentration and balance. An exceptional release of Sparkling Shiraz from our Great Western Vineyards.

2021 LSV Tasting Note

A vibrant wine with blueberry, raspberry, and cherry notes. This wine is co-fermented with a small addition of Viognier. The Viognier helps brighten the colour, lift the aromatics and enhance the Shiraz flavours on the palate.
