2016 Bin No. 0 Shiraz
96 points - James Halliday
Our hallmark wine are the backbone of the business, No 0 has been on our label as Best's top wine since we began with the first vintages in the early 1870's. Then labelled as Claret No. 0, and sometimes blended with other varieties, it has always represented the best from Best's. Today our Bin No 0 is always made of Shiraz from our vineyards that produce consistently high-quality fruit.
The 2016 gives a cornucopia of aromas including potpourri, turmeric, blood plum, cigar box, savoury spices and fresh herbs. And on the palate, it's like a peacock’s tail- explodes with flavour through the palate showing mid weight purple fruit and a lingering epilogue of graceful tannins.

2016 Best's Wines Bin 0 Shiraz - Huon Hook - May 2018
Deep red/purple colour. The bouquet is savoury and dried-spicy, dried-herbal, with star anise and mixed spice overtones. Very complex indeed. The wine is concentrated and powerful, with tremendously detailed flavour including lots of spice and a hint of pepper. A thoroughly majestic wine of boundless complexity and persistence, all hung on an impressively authoritative structure.
