Finally we have some older Bin 1 Shiraz available. But only for a little while.
The select parcels of fruit for the Bin No 1 Shiraz are carefully chosen for their aromatic, medium-bodied and textural properties. The fruit was treated gently using traditional winemaking practices including the use of large format oak casks.

This 1970 Claret has been stored underground, buried under earth for more than 40 years. There is not many wines you can find these days in such good shape. You will not be dissapointed with this little gem.
Justin Pursers brief description: the wine meanders effortlessly along the palate towards a smooth and long finish 9/10
From a past era of Best's history. Our Vintage Port have been carefully aged in our cellars since we ceased making them in 2005. They were made with fruit and spirit made at our winery in Lake Boga, not far from Swan Hill. Fortified wine was once the back bone of the wine industry but has been in steady decline since the 1970's when dry whites and reds became more prominent.

Our Old Vine Pinot Meunier is picked of our 2 original blocks planted in 1868. With the first single variety 'Millers Burgundy' produced in in 1967, it has been a part of the Best's ever since. Know for its gentle fruit structure, balance and longevity, it has a unique place in the Australian wine arena.
Released in our 150th year, this wine celebrates Best’s history. Sparky’s Block is a special parcel of Shiraz on some of the best soil in the Concongella Vineyard. Sparky is the nickname of Marcus Thomson, the youngest of the Thomson siblings, who was born in 1970. This wine was made in the traditional style, open fermented and aged in large oak. It shows dark fruit and spices, with long lean tannins that will reward those who are patient.
