The Shiraz grapes thrive in the region’s cool climate, producing wines with vibrant fruit flavours, elegant structure and great aging potential. Best’s Great Western also produces other primary varieties such as Pinot Noir, Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as several alternate varieties in Dolcetto, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Meunier which showcase the diversity of the region.
