Believed to be the oldest Pinot Noir Vines in the world, planted in 1868, the 141 individual vines of Pinot Noir are intermingled in a vineyard of Pinot Meunier known as the Pigsty due to its vicinity to the old sty.

Bin No. 0 is made to be an age-worthy style and has been the undisputed icon of the Great Western Shiraz for many decades. Our Bin No. 0 is matured in the original underground cellars before bottling. It is internationally acclaimed as one of Australia’s great Shiraz wines and carries a Langton's classification of "Excellent".
2017 Bart's Block Shiraz Trio is only available for the month of July. The RRP for this wine $150 per bottle, but we want you all to try it and be able to put some aside to drink later. Much later.

Best’s Bin No. 0 Shiraz is produced from the four original Shiraz plantings in the low yielding blocks of the historic Concongella vineyard at Great Western. This includes nineteenth century and mid twentieth century plantings of Shiraz which result in very low yielding vines that produce intense flavours.
One of the varieties grown in our 13 Acre Block, it was planted as Merlot, but as it grew it looked and behaved differently, and after investigation it was found to be Cabernet Franc. Made only a few times since its planting in the 1980's, (when we have some spare), this wine has the ability to age well.
