Wine Profile

Slightly wetter and cooler than average helped keep the wines nourished and well foliated. Some extra de-foliation work in the vineyard help reduce moisture in the canopy. The vintage period provided very good ripening and harvest conditions with clear days and cool nights. A classic vintage that gave birth to very elegant and fine wines.

Juicy cherry/ strawberry flavours fill the palate and are held by the delicate acidity and persistent silky tannins.

A perfect wine to match with Peking Duck.

Interesting herbal aromas accompanied by sour cherries and plums. Medium body & colour giving out (whole bunch?) red fruit flavours, mixed herbs & spices followed by crisp (additional?) acidity...love the thought of drinking from some of the oldest Pinot vines in the world! Went well with mushroom soup. Thanks.
