Our vineyards of Dolcetto predate those in Italy. They were planted in the 1860’s, 1870’s and over one hundred years later in 1971.
Lifted aromas of sour cherry, liquorice strap and violets. Mid weight vibrant and crunchy red fruits with a soft savoury finish.

This wine is light & bright raspberry coloured & not shy on the aromatics. I had lovely floral aromas with raspberry, blackberry, vanilla & clove spice. There’s also plenty happening on palate with blackberry, ribena flavours, racy acidity & a pithy savoury finish. It’s medium bodied with good length, fresh, lively & dances on the palate. I like it a lot. It’s definitely a step up in intensity from a pinot but infinitely slurpable. It’s well made & a good smack of wine for $25. Would def buy again.

This is beautiful but somewhat deceptive wine. The bouquet of sour cherries almost had me believing I was about to sample a Pinot Noir. The palate is very different and very fruity. I loved this wine for that very reason.
