Best’s Great Western Riesling 2010
A real “insider’s” wine, Great Western produces flavoursome, elegantly structured, spectacularly age-worthy Rieslings which stand confidently alongside some of the most outstanding Australian examples of the variety.
Grown on the sandy loams of the Concongella Creek and the cooler Salvation Hills sites, the Great Western Riesling shows power and finesse which speak of this region.
Technical Details

Grape Variety: Riesling
Alcohol: 11.5 %
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Pristine condition with bright green hues.
Bouquet: Fresh flowers along with lime and citrus notes.
Palate: Flavoursome front palate with great varietal intensity. Minerality, balance and texture all work together harmoniously.
Cellaring: This wine has previously shown an ability to gain further complexity and aged regional characters as time goes by. Drink to 2020
Vintage Notes: 2010 was a bounce back season at the Concongella vineyard. We had good spring rains, virtually no frost and good level of soil moisture was sustained. Good flavours developed at low sugar levels which allowed early picking and contributed to great natural acid balance. A stand out season for Riesling.
