The heart of Best's Wines' operation, Concongella Cellar Door, otherwise known as ‘The Stables’ is a truly memorable place to visit. The lovely, old, red gum slab tasting room (the 1869 Stables which took the Best Family a year of wet days to construct), the hand-dug 1860s cellars and the original Nursery Block plantings are a significant slice of Australian wine history.
Wines for tasting and sale include Best's current range of table and fortified wines, and limited release wines available through cellar door only.  At times, releases of back vintages may also be available for purchase.

Cellar Walk
Whilst visiting Cellar Door, we invite you to explore our historic cellars in the Concongella Cellar Walk. Come and discover the underground section of our cellars that we renovated in the 1940s for white wine maturation and bottling. Continue through the hand dug out tunnels into the original underground cellars – a truly amazing site. Discover for yourself why this winery is such a memorable part of Australian wine history... just another Best Kept Secret.

Opening Hours
The cellar door is open Monday to Saturday and Public Holidays from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
Cellar door is closed on Christmas Day. Winery tours can be organized in advance and bus tours can be accommodated by prior arrangement.
